Scania tipper 10*8*6
So while waiting for my Dumper kit to arrive from Germany, I decided I wanted to build something from scratch, or should I say, take a kit and adapt it to become a Scania 10*8*6
Everyone must know of Hemi1966 off youtube, if not look here http://www.youtube.com/user/Hemi1966, you’ll be amazed at his engineering/building skills, I know I was. After a few emails were exchanged, Ari agreed for me to take/copy/borrow his ideas and build my own version of his Scania tipper. So off I go on to the web and order a Scania R620 kit as a donor, plus lots of various other bits as well, its quite surprising how many other bits you do need! This is what I want it to look like when finished - this is Ari's Scania http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_4676.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_4673.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_4670.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_4665.jpg So this is what it looked like last week when it arrived http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2045.jpg After 2 evenings working and a trip to the hardware store it looked liked this, the front leafs are from a F350 hence a little too tall, I have truck ones on order! The really observant among you will also notice the two front axles are of the none steering type! They are also on order! http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2018.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2017.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2016.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2015.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2014.jpg Another evenings work ☺ http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2024.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2023.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2021.jpg http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/IMG_2020.jpg And that is as far as I have got so far! Still a long way to go.. Waiting for other bits to arrive… |

Its a Carson product, if you google Antrieb für Muldenkipper Carson 907056 you'll find it http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...rsontipper.jpg or you could do what Ari did and make yourself one like this! http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z..._4045kippi.jpg |

Yes, I also like his stuff as well, the mobile Cat excavator of his is a work of art, all of the engineering that has gone into is amazing. |
