Is this a good machine for the $$$
Hi guys! I have been looking to purchase a small mill for the hobby. I was wondering if this was a good product. I don't to spend more than $1000.00 on one.
Thanks! Brian |

Not a bad starter mill. Only thing that is wierd is the .062" per revolution on the X and Y handles. Looks about like the one that quite a few of us have only different color paint. Wish mine had the R8 spindle and not an M3. I have never been satisfied with mine but I think it is my fault and not the machine. Just need to take the time to completely take the table off and clean everything.

Thanks Lynn. I want to get one to play with but don't want to put out a ton of coin! I haven't used a mill since high school shop class, in 1993 ! I figure I could learn how to run it.

If you spend a little more you can get a bigger Bf sized mill from Grizzly. The table is much larger and it is a lot heavier than the LMS mill.
http://www.grizzly.com/products/Dril...th-Stand/G0704 The only problem is they are so popular they are often sold out. You can see more about it here: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bencht...zly_g0704.html and here: http://www.g0704.com/ |
