Ratio for Scale building trailers
Someone once post in an old thread the ratio on how to figure the length of trucks and trailers to scale. Does anyone know who that was? Or the equation?
Thank you, John Corbett |
Re: Ratio for Scale building trailers
Your length in inch's divided by the scale you want. ex 1:14 you would divide by 14 that would give you the length in in to build your trailer.
40ft trailer X 12 in per foot = 480 in 480in divided by 14in = 34.29in So in 1:14 scale a 40ft trailer would be 34.29in long. Travis |

Re: Ratio for Scale building trailers
Not to squash your thinking but our trucks tend not be a perfect scale.... So double check things relative to your ride .... For example width versus plate height versus ground clearance......
