Wedico Tank Trailer.Complete Rebuild.
Servus
I want to show you the rebuild of a 25 years old Wedico Tank Trailer. First work was to disassamble the complete Trailer and removing all Stickers. Then I made a new Axle plate which is not so high than the Original one. And I made some new Axles from a solids 10 mm Alu Material. I use Rims and Tires from Rüst,so the old Wedico Axles would not fit. http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4...ittchen035.jpg http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7...ittchen036.jpg http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/264...ittchen027.jpg http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/9...ittchen083.jpg http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/5...ittchen084.jpg http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/8...tfelgen015.jpg Gruss Michael |

Usually I wanted to use Wedico Style Springs for the Trailer but I figured out that I have to come closer to the Original. So I have two alternatives. First is to fix the Springs with Shackles to the Frame and the other one is to use some Rubber Elements to imitate an Air ride Suspension. What would you use???? http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/109...ittchen097.jpg http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/3...ittchen098.jpg Gruss Michael |

Re: Wedico Tank Trailer.Complete Rebuild.
I think the air ride is the way to go, and the manhole covers really look nice.
Keep up the good work. Big John |

Re: Wedico Tank Trailer.Complete Rebuild.
Nice project!
Did the Wedico come with the 4 bottles inside the tank or were they added? Do you have a picture of the drain valves for the tanks? I've had ideas to do something like that with the Tamiya tanker. Looking at your work, I'm sure it will look better than Wedico ever made it. |
Re: Wedico Tank Trailer.Complete Rebuild.
Thorteenster, I can answer your question.
The bottles you have to buy seperate, and I thought of doing this also. It prolly wouldn't take much modification to make it work. As far as the outlets, I believe they come with the bottles. And btw, each bottle is sold seperatley, and outlets go in the wedico tool boxes. Go to www.gardentrucking.com, and go to trailer acsesseries. Hope this helps, Big John |
