machinist jack?
what is it used for?

Re: machinist jack?
Russ,
Machinist's jack is used for an added support when milling or drilling on a long part that will not completely fit in a vise or fixture. It just keeps the part stationary while you work. |
Re: machinist jack?
Basically an adjustable support when working with large things. Usually have the jack piece itself and a few spacer blocks for added ht, that lock into each other.
