Always neat to see.

The papermills and cranberry processing plants around here have had truck dumpers for years. They can be pretty fast too.

I suppose you just make sure you leave nothing loose in the cab or on the dash?

That and make sure the clamps holding the truck down are secure, or it gets interesting. There are some around too, that just do unhooked trailers as well.

Just means that Freddy will have to make a different type of trailer and the unloading bay!!

Oooh - I like this one. It is a drive-thru dumper! Can you see this on the top of a cross over bridge? Thanks to Pugs - found this on his link above...

yep , that 1 as a trailer is what I've seen . a couple years ago , I was hauling fill into a landfill and got to watch them move them around with a d-9 they had a dolly to tow them with the dozer . It'll be a long time before I get to build 1 . I'm heading into the scrap yard scene and construction :D

Re: Someone is trying to put Freddy out of the dump business...

There is a trailer dump like these not to far from where I live. It's a Del Monte plant and they use it for dumping the veggies out of the trailers. I think building one of these dumps would be far easier then building a dump trailer! At least the hydraulic components wouldn't have to be the specialized, miniature type.

we are in woods grinding crew and we haul boilerfuel to international paper, they use whole truck dumpers and if you leave anything loose in the truck it ends up in the sleeper.we also have a peerless trailer tipper in our mulch yardthat is made on its own trailer to be portable, its a good set up till windy days.i have built a 1/14 scale peerless chip trailer i will have at indy, hope someone will build a scale tipper to play on:cool:

As I watch I can't keep but wondering how exactly the trucks are locked down. I went through the link and some vids, but nothing really showed how. I assume sone sort of wheel chocks and tie downs??

Anyone have some pics or links they could post showing this??

Re: Someone is trying to put Freddy out of the dump business...

they dont lock the trucks down just the brakes on the trucks and trailer hold them. the backstop behind the trailer holds it in place on both a trailer tipper or a truck and trailer tipper:)

Also appears that the trailer only rigs go to alot higher tip angle than the truck and trailer ones do
