Tow Haul Lowboy
Sure would be cool to see one of these in 1/16 RC.

Re: Tow Haul Lowboy
That would be an interesting model. Tamiya's Mammoth would be a great starting point, for the prime mover. The trailer would have to be mostly scratch built, but just looking at the lines and design, it would still be a pretty straight forward build. Not really all that complex. Wonder what they haul with one of those? Shovels and dozers?

Re: Tow Haul Lowboy
That tandem axle trailer is pretty cool. Another neat spin on this kind of project might be those trailers that are huge dump boxes.
http://www.1-87vehicles.org/images/M...p_truck_lg.jpg I don't know who could really use them to their full potential. Maybe Joe? |

Here's the Norscot version. http://www.3000toys.com/catalog/item...d=NORSCOT55220 I saw one at Wheeler Machinery a while back. Cheer's, Neil.

Re: Tow Haul Lowboy
Could happen Nathan... these Tamiya & a Stahl dump trks are way too little for this 850! And when I move to the barn next yr the hauls are gonna be 4to5 times the distance.
Thanx for the picture... you ever come across any dimensional drawings, I'd be interested in seeing them too. ;) |
