Mixing scales?

Hi,

Does everyone always run same scale models? or do you sometimes mix?

For example would a 1:16th model look out of place next to a 1:12th?

There's a big difference between 16th and 12th. Not so much between 14 and 16 though.

No one really builds models to an exact scale. Some things just don't scale down well enough to maintain their accuracey and functionality. Neither Wedico or Tamiya models are dead on accurate 1/16 or 1/14 scale models. 1/12 is still pretty big. Maybe you wouldn't notice a 1/12 scale construction machine being larger then a truck from either scale, but a truck that is 1/12 scale is going to look grossly over sized when it's being loaded by a 1/16 or 1/14 scale machine. Most construction equipment is bigger, in the real world, compared to a truck. If you don't mind the scale differences, I say run with it and have fun!
