mfu with a brushless?
Just wanted to know if anyone has run a brushless with the multi function unit.... since the mfu is a brushed esc, i would think that i wouldnt be able to use it. but is there a way that i can run it parrallel to the brushless esc so i can still get engine revs and what not? Could i use it for just the sound and lights? I figured i better ask before i buy a mfu and find out it wont work. Thanks in advance!

Re: mfu with a brushless?
I dont know about the Tamiya MFU, but I have seen inline sound units that will work with brushles set ups.
Let me search the site again and see if i can find it. |
Re: mfu with a brushless?
I don't see why you couldn't use a brushless motor. Of course you'd have to have a separate brushless ESC, but there is nothing to stop you from using a y-harness and running the MFU and the new ESC in parallel, off the same throttle channel.

Re: mfu with a brushless?
Yup I run a Y-harness to an MFU so it has the throttle position and nothing else. I think you'd be better off using a Servonaut sound module unless you already have the MFU.

Re: mfu with a brushless?
I'm wondering what kind of brushless unit are you using?
