Styrene manufacturers
Does anybody in the Cleveland area know of a plastics company who sells large sheets. I've been to a couple plastics company's in my area and they only do profiling and custom extrusions. They don't sell by sheet. I'm just sick of buying it from the LHS in such small sheets and paying a premium for it. I know a lot of you get it from companies in large rolls and I've had no luck in my area.
Thanks for any help I can get. --Dan |

Dan, Check Travis's vendor site, http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...splay.php?f=65, "00" Biddle.

Re: Styrene manufacturers
Another source I use is sign shops, most of them use sheet styrene for signs and store displays, I get all the offcuts I want for free out of their scrap bin. Might see if there's one in your area , can't beat free and no shipping cost!

Re: Styrene manufacturers
I appreciate the help, I knew Travis sold it but was just looking for somewhere local to pick it up from. Hes who I planned on ordering from if I couldnt find it here.
I didn't think of the sign shops just because I was looking for large sheets not smaller scrap, but that might even work depending on sizes they have. Their is also quite a few around my area so I may just have to go check it out. --Dan |
Re: Styrene manufacturers
I've got offcuts almost 2 feet wide and 4 feet long before, it's crazy how much they waste, not worth their while to work the scrap for smaller signs I guess

Re: Styrene manufacturers
I checked our local Plastic dealer. They stock 4 x 8' sheets just for the hobbyists in the area, but the price they wanted for it was to high and I don't have a need for that much right now.
