Tri-axle dolly question...

I'm in the process of building a tri-axle dolly between the bill signs truck and the lowboy. Now is it nessecray to have support legs on the dolly?
Thanx for any help.

Big John

Re: Tri-axle dolly question...

Well what kind of dolly are ya talking about? One that hooks to the back of the truck or one that hooks to the fifth wheel?

Sorry I just seen the dolly on the build thread :-). Something like that I would say yes. In real life you would have to unhook from the dolly sooner or later and ya need something to keep it up so you can back under it again. That's my 2 cents anyway :-)

Hey Big John, some jeep's have them, some don't, it depend's on whether or not the truck has a winch and ramp's. Look through the site page's and see both way's.

I hope Reeves from CA will chime in, he does it for a living!

Re: Tri-axle dolly question...

Thanx a million for the link doodlebug, very helpful. Now that i've seen these, i'm thinking if the weight of the axles keep the front of the dolly from dropping to much, I may just use the wheel chok's (hope I spelled that right):oto hook up to the dolly.

Thanx again, Big John
