question about polishing aluminum parts

Hey everyone, I am restoring an old tamiya wild one and as some of you will know it has quite a bit of aluminum parts. what can I do to bring some of these parts back to life? is there a polishing compound, or should I find someone with a buffing wheel on their bench grinder and use that? any suggestions?
