Cat 621 info
Hi, I am new to forum, have done some scale ic engine builds, I would like to build from scratch a Cat 621 scraper in 1:14 scale. I have searched the web for pictures and drawings, found a few but what I need is a picture or drawing of the complete frame (tractor and bowl). Any ideas?
Thanks Terry |
Re: Cat 621 info
Hey Terry,
Welcome aboard! Do a search on ebay, and look for literature and part's manual's http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...All-Categories Hope this help's! Cheer's, Neil. |
Re: Cat 621 info
Get yourself a parts manual , thats a big help . Also search the net for 621specs. . I think Richie Brothers has a equipment spec. site . the cats should be easy to get that info on . Have fun and welcome to the scraper building club . can't wait to see it started :D .

Re: Cat 621 info
Look on ebay and buy an old NZG Cat 621 scraper. You should be able to get the lines you'll need but not all the internal details. I know a dual Sabertooth will simplify the steering.

Re: Cat 621 info
This may help. It is for the elevateor version J621 but the tractor unit is the same as the open bowl 621. Hope the dimensions help

Re: Cat 621 info
Try this link, which has a lot of old spec sheets, although I couldn't see one for the 621.

Re: Cat 621 info
Hi Terry. Welcome to the forum. This link will take you to the Cat website for the 621. To bad this one doesn't have a decent drawing as we usually just scan it and have it enlarged to the size you need. Might find you 1/2 or 3/4 square at home depot or Metal supermarket. Hope this helps. Rob

Re: Cat 621 info
Thanks steamer, I did download and print this one, what I need is a bare frame picture to scale, not much construction going on around here or I would go hunting with my camera.
