Repairing glass...

OK guy's and gal's, this is totally off any discussions that has been talked about before.;) My wife broke a glass cross our daughter got her for christmas, and I need to know what type of glue or adhesive would be best to repair it. She is really upset because it means so much to her.

Thanx, Big John

Maybe try some kind of clear epoxy? Glass is tricky to glue, but epoxy will bond anything, to anything. I guess they do make a glue special for glass. I don't know where you'd find it, but it cures when exposed to sunlight, or any other UV light source. If you have any glass shops around the area, I'd ask them for advice. Maybe they could even glue it for you.

Clear star makes a uv resin for glass. It's basically the same stud that you would use if you were filling a windshield chip. Most auto glass company's can get you a bottle

If memory serves me correctly it comes in 1oz and 3oz bottles. Only down side is its not cheap about 25-30 bucks for small bottle but you could use that for alot of stuff. it does not take much to work.

No that's more of just a cheap adhesive which most of the time does not adhere unless the glass is super clean and slightly scuffed for adhesion

And John let me know if you cant get ahold of any I can get my hands on a bottle for you.
