Tilting a globe liner?

Not sure if anyone has done this, and I looked a few spots to see. But had anyone made a globe cab tilt forward like on a real coe?? I love how people put the scale motor into their tilt hoods but has anyone done it to a globe? I'm thinking of attempting it on mine and having it run off a servo to lift the cab forward to get to the motor... I think it would be bad a$$ AND UNIQUE. Was thinking of mini hinges on the front but have 2 servo balls on the frame that the cab would "snap" into to lock it down, Will prob have to build a whole new floor plate for it,extend a few wires, make the doghouse cut the diecast motor to hold the motor, relocate the Trans and servos but I think it's possible... It would definitely be a little further down the road on my build but would really seperate my globe from the others. Any ideas? Anyone seen it done yet? If so can you put the pics here or the link to the build? Thanks also where do you get the motors at? Thanks

I'll wait till you try it ;) haha it's more of a thought/want. But there's do much to do on my truck before I could attempt it. I guess great minds think alike. I've still yet to have seen one of these motors in person yet so I don't know the dementions of them either. But I do think it would look Sweet!

Rob- Thanks!!! That looks great!!! looking at it with it titled up i dont really think there is any room for that dicast motor.... Hmmmm but im sure someone can make it fit.. I think it looks sweet and being able to tilt it up allows for a nice headache rack without relocating your battery.... What gauge metal it the hinge?

There is room, but youll have to make a scale doghouse, lol. I know you can mod the norscot cat engine to fit the motor inside. Maybe run a rc4wd tranny instead of the stock one?

Re: Tilting a globe liner?

hmm the doghouse isnt the issue. its the fitment of the servos that worry me... i dont think im quite ready for that part yet. the tilt yes, the motor no..... :)

hey bud just a thought, turn the steering servo sideways between the frame rails, build a rad to cover it. turn the gear select shaft 180 degrees so it comes out the back of the tranny, and mount a mini servo behind the tranny? just a thought.

Re: Tilting a globe liner?

the mercedes has the tilt built in to. not hard to do if you get the parts for the tilt that attaches to the frame and the latch parts at the back. there is also a rail on the merc to allow it to tilt only so much.
