recommendations on how to build a globe doghouse?

Hi guys my globe liner build is kinda at a standstill till I figure how to make a dog house and shifter. What should I use? Balsa? aluminum ? Brass sheet ? What do you think is the easiest way for a noobie? Thanks

Cool what thickness is best ? And what do I use for a shifter and pedals? Styrene too ?
