Re: my tools
Steve that hammer is the most important thing in the with that I can fix any thing. All kidding a side I have found out that it not so much the tools but the know how to use them. I have a lathe and a mill but as far as being able to use then well that a different story every thing I do is trial and error, but then what do you expect from a truck driver. The definition of a truck driver is a dumb labor with his brains knocked out. Ed

Re: my tools
Dang, you make my Dremel and Dremel drill press mount in the corner of my living room look like poo!
In the last year I've picked up a small drill press and band saw at Home Depot and I have a small 110v Lincoln Weld Pac wire feed. Quarters are kinda cramped, I'm in a basement apartment with half my living room being my "workshop". Nice setup you got, I'm so frigging green! |
Re: my tools
is the BFH so when things dont fit right
love the shop steve |
Re: my tools
I've seen some of your builds. I can see that it is not all about the tools but more about the talent.
Still can't believe the stuff you are able to build!!! Awesome!!! |
Re: my tools
Steve-I don't see a problem with the old lathe. I think a lot of people prefer them. You seem to know what to do with it! As for the BFH-I always heard "don't use force, just get a bigger hammer":D

Re: my tools
thank you guys
Tom , I had the chance of comparing between a newer non usa made to the older big iron . I told the guy to put the newer one in the scrap :p It had more slop then my antique and no way to adjust  I guess thats what you get in the throw away age :( there are times I wish I listen to myself with the mill and got the older bp . but what I got is better then what I had . I guess variations of the BFH story is wide spread :D . |
Re: my tools
the beast is in the shop  now compared to the 1 the guy got that took the place of this 1 , it is small  they have a tool room as big as my house with mills that are as big as my kids rooms
http://i830.photobucket.com/albums/z...r/PIC_0817.jpg now just got to power it up and learn how to use it  can't wait |
Re: my tools
That's small. It's the same size as Scott's Bruder skid steer... I see it parked behind:p
What are the travel distances? Did you get any tool holders? Vice, software? |
