YouTube question

Hey all,
YouTube sent me an email asking me if I wanted to monetize my videos. I'm just wondering if its worth doing? Will it just annoy people who view my videos because of the adds and turn viewers away?
I'm sure I won't become a millionaire doing it. I just like to make videos and share with others:)

Thanks all.

Mario

I would like to know about this too. The same suggestion was made to me a while back but I haven't done it because I don't know if it's worth while. My channel doesn't get many views so it's probably a waste of time.

Hopefully someone with a lot of views on their channel will chime in with their thoughts...

Interesting, I used to put up farming vids that got quite a few hits. Would like to hear the economics of it...

They say if you allow them to run adds during your videos they pay cash for the adds that are watched. Here's a video that explains a little and will help link you up with more info.

I'm just waiting to hear any good or bad experiences from anyone who may have tried this.

I thought the same thing Reg, probably a waste of time but remember that old saying, " never assume " or don't knock it till ya try it? :D
I've watched a lot of YouTube and have yet to see adds in any of the videos I've watched?

Well.. as for Adsense goes.. Lets just say (roughly) $0.50-$2.00 per 1000 views.. thats just a ball park on the HIGH side..

Does that help at all? Its not set in stone, and adsense doesn't really say too much.. so nothing is concrete, and everyone is different..

I hope that helps you my friend.. gives you an idea. It really does depend on a lot of factors.. and like you said - its all about F.U.N

Thanks for the info Joe. I'll just stick with making vids and posting for fun. I always curse at commercials and pop up adds. I really didn't want to suddenly be guilty of creating more of it through my simple little vids:) not something for me.
