History Channel's Ax Men
Anybody watch it tonight? Jimmy Smith died this year, what an abrasive man. Not sure why I even watch the show anymore, it was the equipment that first got me watching the show but the drama on the show has just gotten way to stupid and staged.

Re: History Channel's Ax Men
I don't have Discovery channel anymore....or any other networks besides the regular TV channels, but I agree. All the shows are over the top with the drama. I stopped watching TV altogether. Now I surf the internet instead.

Re: History Channel's Ax Men
I too was watching Ax Men for the equiment, and stopped after the first season.
I much preferred the Pelletier's show from Maine. American Loggers I think was the name. |
Re: History Channel's Ax Men
Is American loggers still on or did it get cancelled....I liked the show with the pelletiers

Re: History Channel's Ax Men
Roger that on liking American Logger better than Ax Men, even better yet and my favorite of all is Swamp Loggers. Quite a bit more attention is payed to the equipment, which is what I'm there for!

Re: History Channel's Ax Men
I think American Loggers is over.
Yes, Swamp Loggers was good. Big ol' Tigercat skidders! |
Re: History Channel's Ax Men
I just read that Swamp Loggers is now done after this yr.. an episode I was watching last night with Bobby & Justin (and wives) went to Con Expo in Vegas, I swear I saw a Vario track hoe, painted in red & black?! I haven't found the episode yet online.. anybody else notice the RC's on the program?
Ax Men only aired maybe one season on cdn History ch, I liked the old man w/the crippled hand, he was pretty cool to listening too.. the rest of them, what a bunch of _____? Was Jimmy Smith the skinny foul mouth yarder with thick glasses? The Pelletier's was good too, but Bonecrusher, for such a big guy he sure was a crybaby! get rid of him. |
Re: History Channel's Ax Men
Joe, Jimmy Smith was a diver, He and His son called themselves S+S Aqua Logging. Him and His son spent the whole time on the show swearing at each other and making fools of them selves. They were recovering logs that had sunk in rivers years ago when they floated logs to the saw mills, Jimmy got him self in hot water in Washington when He did not have permits to taking these logs and disturbing the environment.
