Hello from Ireland

Hi the name is Mike.

I'm from a place called Cork in the south of Ireland.

I'm looking at buying a euro style truck. I'm not 100% sure as to what to buy yet, either to buy one fully built or build it myself? I have my heart set on a scania r620. I came across a fully built r620 RTR on eBay for €1750. Would this be a good price? It had nearly all the extras I have seen for the trucks

Looking forward to learning from he. I have an average amount of rc experience

Mike

Thanks for your comments.

See my problem is this,

For example take the radio system. The recommended one is a four channel but will I need to upgrade this if I add all the features and extras?
Is ebay the cheapest place to it kits? Also another thing I noticed is that there never seems to be any Used rc hydraulic xcavators for sale, why so? There's only one eBay. A wedico 345d for €4800

Re: Hello from Ireland

1750 euro sounds high to me for a Tamiya unless this truck has everything you want remote, charger, batteries, sounds and lights. I like to build trucks from a kit or buy one in need of help cheep. You will want to add your own personal touches like wheels, lights and interior, also with a Scania you might want a top line which you will need to order a kit or make your own adaptation to the top. Light bars and bumpers are other changes I see people make to there Scania trucks. I would look on you-tube to get some ideas of what you want before spending 1750 euro

I have less than 500 US in my Scania

It has lights but no sounds and works on a 3ch remote

This is the truck that was for sale on ebay for £1400. Full function with radio system battery charger etc RTR with a nice carry case as well.

Is it overpriced?

It is a real nice looking Scania someone has spent alot of time and money with all the extra lights and deck on the back. If it is waht you want and you have the money for it I would say go for it. I think it is a fair price when add the top light bar is 79 euro and the bottom light bar is 65 euro add the lights on the mirrors, sides and underside along with the front bumper and sun shade with lights. I all so looks like it has had some work on the inside of the cab and metal wheels. Quite a few extras on this truck that I can see from just one picture.
