broken fifth wheel
i was out driving today and loading the tipper bed with sand and i snapped off the little locker that on the tamiya scania fifth wheel.
is there a good fix fo this? dose some one make a fix or is that something im going to try to fix my self |

i was trying to pull a dump trailer full of white sand at he park today. i was dring off raod at the time. i made a temp fix for it earlyer this afternoon. (the brass peice)

There are several alum. Ones for sale. I would suggest that approach if you are loading it often.

I agree with Diesel if you're pulling heavy loads or you keep busting the plastic ones.

Just curious, you said you were pulling a loaded trailer in rough terrain, was it the weight of the trailer that broke the fifth wheel or in the rough terrain did you high center your rig causing the tail of the truck frame to go up into the trailer frame?
Hard to describe but if your tractor is headed down a steep hill and you trailer is on the uphill side of the hill the two frames can touch (especially if you have much frame behind your fifth wheel), bad things happen when the two meet up. |
