Help Want to Learn how to make Leaf Springs
 

Hello

With a few projects inline, I would like to know how to make my own leaf springs? I don`t want it to be a high lift car and truck but "regular" ride. If I can make the leaf springs then I can make them to what I need BUT what matterials do I use and how do I get the bend on the ends? Also what determines how many leafs are in one spring? How are the leafs kepted together? I will not be using any shockes.

Any pictures and sources will be helpful as well.
