My work shop with south bend and Emco
My workshop
In 1979 I bought my first machine, an Emco Unimat 3 with milling attachment. I worked all summer in a local factory and earned just enough to buy it. I still have it, but I hardly use it. http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/1107/img0985sd1.jpg http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/4396/img0988xo9.jpg In 1985 I bought an Emco 5 Mill. I still use this one for all my milling. It is a little on the small side and limited in what it can do, but it still works for me. The nice thing is that it is very flexible and can also be used as a horizontal mill as well. I have not fixed it to the bench and so I can move it easily in the best working position. http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/5530/img0975nc1.jpg http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/9891/img0243rr9.jpg About 8 years ago I bought a South Bend 9” lathe, a wonderful machine. I do virtually all my turning on this lathe, even for very small parts. http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/7393/img0976av2.jpg kerst |
