Electronic Speed Controller

Just started my Knight Hauler build. Am using the stock 540 brushless motor for now. What's the best (and most economic) controller for the 540 motor. Not looking to race just want to putt putt around. Can you also suggest a gear (tooth count) that would slow her down some especially in first gear.. I'm using a Futaba 4YF 4 channel radio if that makes any differents.
Hope to pose a few photos soon. Thanks for your help in advance.

I use the tamiya teu101, you can buy them on ebay for under 30 bucks and they are fine for a 540 silver can.

There are a few options to slow your truck down, but the cheapest way is to get a 6-tooth pinion gear. I did this, and it really slowed the truck down. I got mine from RC4WD. Hope this helps.;):)
