7/8 boring or lathe ??

im learning slowly how to lathe but my question is should I bore the 7/8 x 9/32 or lathe it for the bearings in the wheels of the track |

I think you'll get a better fit, if you use a boring bar, or a reamer.

thanks espeefan my first attempt at lathe and I found out the three jaw chuck was not true one of the jaws was from a different set and would not line up so I thought I was doing it wrong nothing I did was true so I thought I had to learn how to true up the 3 jawed chuck so I started watching youtube videos of lathe work (mrpete) machine shop tips great videos that's when I figured out that the jaws were wrong well at least one of them was 7 x 10 habor freight |

Check and see if the jaws are in there correct locations?

i have checked the numbers i have jaw 1 then there is jaw 2 set number 3555 and jaw 2 set 535 there from two diverent sets of jaws
bought the lathe on craigs list now i know why the guy was selling it. iv ordered a new 3 jaw chuck should be here in a few days 3jaw chuck from LITTLEMACHINSHOP 80 bucks |
