Logistics Center
I have had a plan in my head for a logistics center that can load box and flatbed trailers with my forklift for quite some time now. The other day I had time to put thoughts to CAD and see if it would work. My main feature of this plan is that it packs up, stores and transports easily.

you should bring that to Indy this year , no matter if it's completed or not . I am a big fan of setups like that . Since my very first trip to Indy in 2005 , I been doing the warehouse scenes at the Indy truck show . http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events/id45.htm because of limited space I just used a plate , some blocks underneath and from my tank accessories I used the 4 burned out houses as corner pieces . In 2006 I incorporated my modified G-scale train stuff in to it , and in 2007 we had 2 warehouse setups ( the blue one build by Scott ) plus the train stuff . http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events..._indy_2007.htm and this here was in 2007 ( prior the Indy show ) in my backyard : http://www.customrcmodels.com/Photos...april_2007.htm since 2008 I have a simple warehouse-platform with concrete plates in front of my garage : http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events...a_may_2008.htm because of limited space I stuck to my plate with accessories for a warehouse setup in Indy : http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events..._indy_2008.htm in 2009 Scott didn't bring his warehouse anymore but Blueshirt had made a dock which incorporated nicely in my setup : http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events...9_trucking.htm which we used also in 2010 and 2011: http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events2011/ then last year we had even 2x loading docks to add to my platform , since Izzy also made a loading dock . http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...0&postcount=43 I did ask Izzy if he is gone bring it this year again , but he replied " only if it doesn't rain ". I always wanted to make myself a more detailed warehouse setup , by using walls from my G-scale industrial train buildings . I always bring way to much stuff to Indy , therefore even a portable setup like yours , would be still to big for my purpose . Long story short , I was planning to bring a few more boards for a larger ware-house-scene , in case Izzy and Blueshirt are not bringing there docks . Now Ric told me yesterday you are working on a nice setup , which indeed is a very nice setup , I love it , but he also told me that you would bring it to Indy this year ? and that I wouldn't have to worry about the warehouse stuff , I just should bring my trucks and loading material . |
