Re: Mack DM-U
Those steel nose Mack's were one tuff,Hard riding ,all business kind of truck....keep the pics coming!
|
Re: Mack DM-U
There is a 1/14 cab for this truck that has been put out.
Check this out :- http://www.shapeways.com/model/11089...ductBox-search I'm building one of the Aussie Gun Tractors. Nice start on bonnet. Hope this helps. |
Re: Mack DM-U
Looks like you are building a RM, steel nose center mounted cab. ALL DM-800, 600, DMM's & U models were built with the offset cab.

Re: Mack DM-U
That is very nice! How do you keep everything so symmetrical? Cab doors, hood, fenders.....separate parts that just look perfectly matched. You are a heck of a scratch builder.
|
Re: Mack DM-U
haha thanks! well the hood I make my own blueprints and stuff, and then the rest I just eyed it. the dashboard I just looked n studied n built lol as well as the tank n step hahaha :)

Re: Mack DM-U
I love the progress! I was wondering if you were going to go with the offset cab. You're al about the interiors now, eh?
What tires are you running? They look narrow, but aggressive, like old M35 tires. |

Re: Mack DM-U
That looks great! Is the door just sort of wedged in the door frame, or are there some hinges that I can't see?
|
Re: Mack DM-U
haha jus wedged in I don't have the hinges for it yet I'm gonna order those after I finish up the build :-) its close
