Steel axles?

Is there a vendor from here or in the States that sells steel axles? I bought some 20MM X 3MM off eBay and they are .06MM too large and of course, will not fit in the bearing race.

I might be able to locate some steel rod (won't have a chrome finish) at the LHS and cut them, but I am too lazy to drive all the way up there and do all that cutting too.

Thanks for any help you can throw my way! ;)

Re: Steel axles?

Sorry to hear about the problem. 0.06mm is less than 0.003" so have you considered turning them down to fit? Depending on length and whether you have to reduce the full length or just the bearing areas, if you don't have a lathe, you could use a drill and a file to touch the areas to fit the bearings.
