My Freddygeardrive truck and trailer.

I have been lucky enough to purchase a Freddygeardrive truck and a trailer. I bought the 8X8 hydraulic truck and a side dump. Here is a pic of what I got.

I have to do some repairs to the truck and repaint it as well but other than that I plane to leave it as is. Freddies son is going to look for the logos that Freddy had made for the doors so I can put them back on after it is painted. I want to preserve it as best as I can.

Re: My Freddygeardrive truck and trailer.

Thanks guys and here is the start of the rebuild. I want to make it very clear that I am not upset with the person I bought this truck from The damage that it has was NOT his fault the truck was packed really well. Most of the damage was very minor other than the paint. The end cap on the hyd tank cracked and let all of the oil leak out on the truck that was wrapped up tightly so the oil had no where to go but on the paint.

Before pics.

I drove that truck a few times over at Freddy's house. Always loved it.

Travis, Did you recently purchase that truck??

I had a sheet of the "Forever Green" decals that Freddy gave me but they recently got ruined because of a basement flood. I was so bummed:(

Yes I just got it last Friday. Hopefully Nate will find some decals and if I can get some extras I will send them your way.

He did a good job and there are only 3 connections to take apart and all of the electronics come off the frame attached to the cab and sleeper floor.

I used rubbing alcohol and since it was Tamiya paint out of the bottle it came right off, it only took 30 min to strip off all the paint.

Thanks for looking.

Bro that would be awesome. broke my heart when they got ruined.
Its weird looking at the pics of the electronics because I remember selling him some of the stuff in there.

I really need to talk to Nate. I need to have one of the Freddybuilt trucks.. Every truck he built is close to my heart because i always helped him out with questions and advice.

Nice job on the restoration travis. That sucks about the oil getting everywhere. I know you'll get it right. Pops would be glad that you are taking care of his baby.

That is my favorite build of Freddy's. I understand you wanting to preserve it but I think I would take it a step further than Freddy did by adding Steve's wheels, aluminum steps, visor, big stacks, maybe one of Brian's grilles, etc None of that would take away from what Freddy did, just add to it. Plus all of those vendors had a relation to Freddy and this (his) website.

Nice tuck Travis.

Thanks Clause I have thought about the same things as upgrades but I just was not sure if it would be the right thing to do, but I know if Freddy were here he would say its mine do with it what you want. The other part would be the expense of all of the parts right now. If I do make some changes it will take some time.
