Help getting started.
Hey,
seemed like the most logical place to post this, so... I want to build a dozer in 1/10th scale. But I want to do a smaller size cat, something that could be towed behind a 1/10th truck. And look legal.:cop: My first question is, whats the biggest size cat dozer a standard truck could haul, er, not a chevy though... Where do I go about drive gear? Tracks, drive wheels, rollers, etc.? Thanks, "D" |
Re: Help getting started.
Well I have seen a D5 leave our yard behind a pick up but it's not the best idea. To be legal and safe I would say a D4 would be about the limit for a pickup truck. A D5 is around 21,000# and a D4 is around 18,000#.

Even a d3 would look cool.

Here is a pic with dimensions. There are to widths of tracks XL which is standard and LGP Low Ground Pressure which are wider tracks.
