basic hydraulic drawing
Hi I have just entered the world of rc Hydraulics and I ran into some problems hooking it all up. Joe from little giants came to the rescue and gave me a link to this

It also gives you a good idea of what you need to order I hope this answers the questions that I had and helps you get going. thanks for the help Joe. |

When reposting links from a forum post, the forum software seems to automatically shorten the link. So if you wish to copy & paste the same link elsewhere, then you must click the link to bring up the website & then copy the link from the website. I didn't notice that pic of the hyd schematic at the very end, that sums it pretty well. The Vario schematic had the pressure guage between pump & valve, and even Leimbach's hyd system is done that way too for a guage. Installing the guage either side of the valve before the PRV is fine I guess, however best it fits within your model for easy viewing. Quote:

Quick question. The plastic hose that is bought for hydraulic lines. What kind of pressure will that hose take So I know what to set prv at.

I'm running 35Bar without any problems, but you don't need to be anywhere near that high for a dozer. 20 or so will do ya...
Tinkering with radio programming while you are using the model, adjusting pump rpm to probably 80% max to conserve battery amps shouldn't affect hyd speed too much, if at all. And using channel mixing to mix pump rpm with valve opening to conserve even more amps for longer run times per charge. Valve is neutral, the pump is at a minimum of 20%. But as you move the stick to open valve, the pump rpm increases at the same ratio. |

Great I have playing with mixing off Channels . It's a lot off learning. But I will keep on it. I have word today that mu PRV is on its way.
It's great how everyone helps out with problems and questions. |
