Hydrostatic Drives

Do any of the excavators available from Europe have hydrostatic or hydraulic drive motors? Maybe a stupid question but looking on some of the Websites they mention hydraulics for drive? Maybe I miss read I don't know.

Trucker, do you know if they work good, they must throw much more cost into the unit?

Damitz would be the only I've ever heard of & they suck a lot of oil & go very slow! They use the same hyd motor for the swing & it starves the rest of valves of oil when activated.

You can see it move @6:43

Robbe has them in 2 different sizes 379 Euro or $519.60 US for the large one and I don't know what the other one cost. Ed

I heard that Damitz has a lawsuit against Robbe for copyright of their patented hyd motor... haven't heard lately what has come of it.
