Kenworth sleeper window trim????
Need some suggestions on how and what to use for the trim around the sleeper windows. Someone on this forum had a solution, but I cant find it. Some trucks its black or chrome. I need contrast between the window and the body like the real trucks. I think if just slap some clear window alone it wont look right. Any thoughts and suggestions welcome. Thank you

Re: Kenworth sleeper window trim????
just thinking that you might look for some thin plastic C channel and a little help with some heat to get it to bend around the corners. if your real keen on a rubber look I have seen some people cut the rubber back from a thread of thin wire and pull the copper out. then they push the rubber over the plastic edge. kinda like how the real gasket works.
that's my thoughts... |

I have some H-channel rubber used for windows. It is a product of http://www.knupfershop.de/, called Gummi-H-Profil, 4mm and 2.5mm sizes. Purchased in US through http://modelmotorcars.com/ and it is just like the channel used on real vehicles and heavy equipment.

Ive used the wire idea with 1/25 models before. it does work. Just gota think outside of the box and see what you got laying around everywhere.
