Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello, I have a wedico CAT 345D. There is walking chain problem.
The problem is that excavator can not move reverse and reverse right. It can go reverse left and all front sides. There is not any other problem other functions. Excavator board was replaced but problem did not solved. Do you guys have any idea or solution. NOT: I tried with different remote controls nothing changed and no problem on belt |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Did you take track off for inspection of any debris in the links?
You might have a small rock stuck in the top of a front idler wheel. |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Yes sure I completely opened down side and checked nothing wrong mechanically. In addition to that it can go front or front left or front right or reverse left. But it can not go reverse and reverse right. By the way, sound kit produce walking sound although it does not go reverse and reverse right.

Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
So both idler wheels spin freely both ways? A small rock in the top of an idler will jam the wheel & stall the motor drive in one direction, but not the other. I had this happen in my Vario, but my motor had too much power & part of the drivetrain got tore up!
What kind of electronics in the model are you using to operate the tracks? |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
ıdler whells spin freely same forward not reverse. It is a special board for wedico excavators.

Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Can you take out the left drive motor and apply power to the leads? See if it spins in both directions?
|
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello Avel, yes I did it today It works both directions

Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem

Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Are there any loose pulleys, check out the setscrew and make sure use Loctite blue 242.
I have changed to chains rather using the small belt and had a loose set screw in the sprocket on the gear motor drive output even using Loctite 242. There are any teeth left on the pulley? Take the side of with the chain assembly off which not working properly and see if its move freely on the floor |

Take the chain assembly off, which is not working properly and see if its move freely on the floor. You can also use light bulbs on the motor output on the electronic board and see if it works properly, I have done something like that on my board because I had issues with my old radio which was too old for the control of the excavator. I am using Servonaut zwo4 and it works great. The light bulbs will light when you move the the stick on the radio. Use JR plugs with cable solder the bulbs to it. Connect them like the drive to the control board which works great. One other think comes to my mind could you have an issue with part 32396 (cable feed through) |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello Actros 4160 Thank you for your advices,
No problem on pulleys. I did bulb test, there is a problem on board. bulb does not work reverse and reverse right but It works rest . Most probably I need to make re-programming the board. Now I will try to re-program the board. Does any body know the steps .(original manuel manuel is a bit confusing) or does any body know a video about programming ? |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello Kamyoncu,
Great, that I it was a help for you with tghe board issue. why send that electronic board not back to Wedico and let them fix it for you.I have never done the programming and i agree the manual is a little scary . Regards, Bernd |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello Bernd,
It is the second board with the same problem. Wedico was changed the first one. Therefore I try to solve problem with a different way. I also contacted with them. I wait reply from them. I just wanted help from other users if it is common or easy to solve problem, before asking wedico. I saw that only I faced with this interesting problem :) |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
Hello Kamuyoncu,
That was just a thought of me, because I have not done this programming of the board at all. If you already have a second unit what is doing the them then there is a problem from Wedico. You have a the programming instruction in English? I have one in German and if you have any questions please let me know.:) |
Re: Wedico CAT 345 D LME chain electronic problem
