A little help from my friends
Hey All,
I have never felt so welcome some place, so I thought although this is only my first Thread and I belive I have less then 5 posts, I would not get flamed for asking. But I'm going to be building my first truck. I have never build a Tamiya Semi kit, but have build many others. My question is this, for the front suspension of a truck, would this be a complete front end, would I be able to attach to a frame and put some wheels on. I don't want to deal with small parts that are not included. I know the picture is rather vauge, but it looks to be complete. I can't view the BST yet, so this is all I can do. Thanks for all your help. Also is it a good price? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260701890174 |
Re: A little help from my friends
I agree that it looks like everything is there except the wheels and tires. You should be able to assemble and put on a frame of your liking.
I have dealt with this seller many times with no problems. His prices are normally about the best I can find. Lynn |
Re: A little help from my friends
Hi
This looks complete to me,and the price seems to be OK. Do yo plan a two or three Axle Truck ? Did you ever visit Tamiyas Homepage? You can download some Building Instructions ther. I will look for a Link and post it later. Michael |

Re: A little help from my friends
Wow... I just bought that then signed in here and seen your thread...
Sorry man, Had my eye on that front end for a while now. I was going to piece it together from all the separate bags from another ebay seller, but the problem was I could find everything but the spindles, So I went ahead and bought this whole set. I was at one time going to use the hardware from the screw bags so that would have been a good deal, all I would have had to do was get the aluminum axle and knuckles from RC Damper which I still am, and then the springs from the same guy with the bags. But I could not find the joint cup bag anywhere, and that is the bag with the spindles in it. Tamiya wants $19.95 for the joint cup bag, and then with the other bags from the ebay seller it added up to more than this, and since I am not using the hardware from those bags now, this was the cheapest way to go. Again Sorry, Didn't mean to buy it out from under ya. -Mike |

Re: A little help from my friends
I have bought many things from Big Blue on ebay, he is a great and honest seller. What he has pictured is what is for sale. You might also check out Semi Joe, he has a lot of this stuff too.

I was more or less asking about the parts and ensuring it's what I needed vs the sellers rep. But as a follow up, I have bought a number of things from Mr.BigBlue. Indeed he is a great seller. Thanks for the input. |
