Re: 1/16 Bucyrus-Monighan Walking Dragline

Oh, very time consuming and boring work. I don't really like those kind of work.
But never the less they look like if they are done by cnc. Keep up the good work.

Re: Cat 777D Mining Truck

Really nice work Tom. Did you already weight it?

For your handrails just a thought. Take a brass or cooper wire in the desired size, put one side in the vice and the other in the drill and twist...

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

Nice vid Joe. That Komatsu loader is looking really nice. And with all the dust on it it seems so realistic. Is it better than the WDC one?
What is the sound in the background? Heater?

Re: American 7260 crawler crane

That's just breath taking. Wow! I wish I had just 1/10th of your skills. That would boost the making of my dragline.
I've seen your sockets installed at your clam shell bucket. How did you made the...

Re: Page 631 Walking Dragline

Re: 1/16 Bucyrus-Monighan Walking Dragline

Just wow. That's looking really cool. It looks so good that it would be a pity to hide it under a coat of paint.

Re: Page 631 Walking Dragline

I've made a new spreaderbar (the old one had nearly 500gr) and changed the chains so the drag chains are longer now. Steve, what do you think, is it ok now?
I also weighted the bucket. It's 2,3Kg...

Re: Page 631 Walking Dragline

Thank you Tom :).

One boom section broke into 2 pieces. I think it's relatively easy to repair. The lower section of the mast is completely destroyed.
The mast was lighter (smaler) than the boom....

Re: Page 631 Walking Dragline

Hi Tom,

I also had a mast collapse so the boom went down. The mast and one of the boom parts broke so I...
