Mostly wood 14A series D8 from 1956...1/24 scale..


Also a Cat D9G in 1/16..

American Roadrunner

I have been away for a while, but in the meantime have gotten a couple of models made..

This is a Roadrunner packer pulled by a Cat DW-21 tractor..

1/24 scale and mostly wood..

It would be nice to see them come out with it. I don't remember if I ever posted the link to utube of a couple of mine from 3-4 years ago...The D8 is in 1/7 scale and the D8 is in 1/8.. I just used...

1/16 scale Pete and D9G

Last spring I made a Peterbilt tractor and a 3 axel lowboy to go along with my 1/16 scale D9G..I thought I had posted pictures of them, but after looking back I guess I hadn't. Anyway better late...

I make pattern out of poster board and divide it into the desired number of cuts...

I just got done with a 1/16 tri-axel Pete...All wood..I will be starting the 3 axel lowboy next week...The D9G is also 1/16 in wood..It should make quite a load..

In answer to your question, the problem is in several areas..
When I joined the track links I used a 1/2 inch by 1 inch nylon spacer for the bushing and used a 1/2 inch aluminum pop...

About all I have are some field notes on history paper in pencil after measuring a 19A D9.

one is the motor and battery cover for a a D8..same principle as the D9..also the D9 pushing 8-10 inches of snow..
