Re: Large diametre Aluminium Rod
Try Metal Supermarkets. I buy locally from them, not sure of price for that huge stuff. Probably have outlet in CA. Online Metal is good too. One other thought is McMaster Carr. Not sure if they...

Re: Help ! Totally confused
I would try to get just a 2s, skip the 2p as they don't balance well. Go straight 2s. Turnigy has done me very well.
My preference for a charger is the I-Charger Duo. You can charge up to 10s...

Re: Need info on using wiper motors
I put 40 tooth gear on output shaft so it runs max 3mph (according to numbers, which is close to reality). So essentially I did gear it down more, apparently not enough.
Waiting on others to...

Need info on using wiper motors
I know at least 2 of you are using these for dozers. I am using them on a lawn mower, but I note under heavy work load they get way,way hot, like 170 or so by the time I get a thermometer on them. ...

Well, I just recently bought a grizzly, not sure of the version at the moment, table is about 6x40 or so.
Anyhow, tooling. A good 4" vise, pref one with ability to rotate and is graduated. ...

Re: mower
There is just too much grip on grass for that to work. Works fine on hard surface, just not in the grass going uphill. Does turn fine going downhill.
Ya I am pretty happy with this. Those...

Not a truck, not a dozer, but is an experimental platform for a dozer in addition to cutting a hillside that is so steep it is hard to stand on it.

Re: Anyone close to Portland Oregon?
At least I still have my flying buddies because no one close is interested it seems.
Been albeit very slowly using my excavator to excavate and back fill retention walls on a hillside. That has...

Re: cat specifically d9 dimensions
One of the better builds used CAT website and a service manual and a model.
Myself, I got a model to get shapes and basic dimensions. I am not serious enough about true scale modeling, but I...

Re: On-board charging ?
Just so long as not Lipo batteries. The fire risk is too great and could cause total loss of your machine.

Re: Major glitching on 2.4 gHz
I had one that fits, used it, then went out and played. Worked fine for awhile, then a different servo cooked. Just ordered a whole set from HobbyKing.

Re: Major glitching on 2.4 gHz
Ok, I spent some time on this yesterday. It seems that letting the sticks go and return to neutral will cause this the most. But, use of bucket seems to be the worst, followed by main boom.

Major glitching on 2.4 gHz
Was running my 4200 XL today and initially got some glitching on the tracks while using the digging arm. I thought at first I was hitting the levers for them. Not. As time went on, I noted the...
