That's kinda how I build my trucks...tape parts to see how it looks then drill holes if I'm happy....this will be a nice looking day cab.

I used an rc4wd 6 tooth pinion with the rest of the drive train stock.
The 85 turn with a 6 tooth pinion is in my opinion way slow for a truck. Top gear with the 85 turn was about the same speed...

I installs the 80 turn integy in my black Mack and it was pretty slow even in 3rd gear. So I will use that for the lift motor in my end dump.I then put the 65 turn in the Mack and I think it's...

When I did my sleeper cut I ran it thru a band saw with the gard set at the depth I wanted.. It made for a perfectly straight cut. Made life easy when gluing the halves together.

Arms are done, now to hook up the screwdrive to lift the box.... The trailer will hopefully have the battery and the motor contained between the axels . This will keep the center of gravity lower and...

Got this project going again...changed the design a little and went with a 1/4 frame design.
I hope my thinking works out as I'm not sure the screwdrive pushing down on the front of the tandems...

Good to hear more praise about the integy motors....yes I have tried about 3 rc4wd motors and all I consider are poor performers. They do have slower rpm the higher the turn but power seams to drop...

I like how simple heavy haul seams over there...just drive the machine up on the flat deck strap it down and go...you would be lucky to go 5 miles here without finding a bridge or restriction...

I searced ebay and no luck on an 80 turn but i found a 65 turn integy so Bought that for one of my hi-way trucks. If I like the speed it has or want a little slower I will try looking for the 80...

Thanks for that info. I will look up that motor. I agree the 6 tooth pinion does chew up the gear in the trans. It also makes it so I have to puss pace the motor back.
