If you want to make U bolts I take stainless rod thread one end bend down and across then measure for the length of the other side and tread the other end then bend it. I have even flattened the part...

The best way to take care of this problem is to call Horizon Hobby they are great people to deal with and they will have all the answers for you I have never had a problem that they could not solve....
