Re: Tires

T-N-T-Lou-thanks a lot for your comments. I am really surprised that no one has tried this. It is just not that difficult although there are a few critical steps that must be followed precisely. I...

Re: Tires

Cat966c-I don't think that will work very well. The surface may not give good traction. If you want to make your own tires look at my thread on the Cat 777D truck. It is a fairly simple process and...

Re: Brownsville show pictures

So it was cold and wet on sat. Was the video in the link made on sat. or sun.? Looks like the dirt was a bit crusty but you managed to get a few scoops. Nice pictures and videos. I always wanted to...

Re: First build ,cat D11

Cooper-I think that was 9W talking about blade geometry. Wasn't me. That's kinda over my head. The only thing I know about dozers is that I would like to build one but that probably won't happen. I...

Re: First build ,cat D11

Cooper-that is a nice video. You have done a great job in a short amount of time. I am not putting your model down but I must say with that HUGE BLADE on there, you cannot push even a half-blade of...

Re: D8R +463 in 1/5,6

D8R-sorry to hear that. This model is way to nice to give up on  I can say this is one of the problems of almost finishing a model without checking all systems but you probably don't need or...

Re: Found awesome excavator

Crash-that is a strange video  I personally would be very afraid of a machine that is shown NOT working. Probably made from junk!! Just my opinion.

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

More great videos joe-I noticed you had some heat going in the work area. That should help. That small dozer seems to do a good job. The ground looked really soft so I guess it was tricky to keep...

Re: left over build (Cat 825C maybe )

Interesting videos steve-I was wondering how this model would push since you don't have much area in contact with the ground. Looks like it works fine. I have watched a lot of video of the silver...

Re: 1/16 Bucyrus-Monighan Walking Dragline

That makes sense steve. I couldn't tell about the moisture but I could easily see the big rocks and also a lot of smaller rocks which it seems would make it hard on the smaller models. The dragline...

Re: 1/16 Bucyrus-Monighan Walking Dragline

Steve-looks like the 9W was working great as always. To me the dirt did not seem to be good for R/C models. Was there big rocks throughout the dirt-pile? I guess you work with what you have. Nice...

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

Wow joe-another entertaining video! Fun with a purpose-I like it!!. Looks like you have the routine down perfect. Running-2- trucks to the pile and loading very quickly. I like the way you use the...

Re: Hayes HD dump truck...RCP's style

RCP57-very nice machine work on the wheels. They look like the real deal. I am not really a truck guy but this truck reminds me of a smaller version of the last one you built. Keep up the good work..

Re: Menck M154 german rope excavator 1:16

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

Nice & big workshop you have joe-so you are building a tunnel. This should be a few years work. By looking at the tunnel size I am assuming that it is 15' from your house and will be 7' tall and 4'...

Re: Older Futaba FM 72Mhz radio

gravely todd-no you cannot put 75 MHz crystals in that radio but you can put in 27mhz crystals then you would be on a legal ground freq. I don't think it would do any harm to use the 72mhz but...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

I think the shovel looks a bit small. I looked at some videos of various machines loading 777 trucks and the PC-2000 looks like a nice fit. Possibly the 3000 but that is a really large machine. I...
