Re: New Eagle Mach Excavator 1/14

Thats my plan. Sell my V2 4200 and grab one of these. After they've been out a bit of course to see if any bugs show up. Like the idea of the smaller scale. Just hope it digs as well as the 4200.

Re: 4200XL, holes in oil tank fitting welds.

Yea, rc4wd only does a 30 day warranty. I was a bit surprised too when I was told I would have to pay full price for it. I'm guessing the holes were plugged with paint and after some run time the...

Well no dice on a freebie from rc4wd. $75 later I'll be getting a new tank.

Re: New Dozer from Premacon

I've always accepted that no matter what hobby it is your always going to have to mod/upgrade a bit. For the most part no manufacturer develops machines for what we plan for them. Just not in the...

Re: Smoke systems?

Us tank guys have had good results with the Tarr units. If wired through an ESC the fan is proportional to your throttle. You have 2 inputs, one for element power and one for fan power (which you'd...

Re: New OEM Electric Actuator Range

Also only look to be 12V, I like the convenience of the "R" series of firgelli that runs right of the RX 6V. Still good to know these guys are out there and will keep an eye on them. Thanks for...

Re: Major glitching on 2.4 gHz

They are full size. One thing to watch is if the stock horn stripped at all. I cut down the
Hitec red four arm horn to fit the valve and swapped to a Hitec HS-645 MG servo.

Re: Major glitching on 2.4 gHz

Might be a reach, but you could also eliminate some of the BEC voltage hitting the RX. Take out the red lead to the RX from the 3 ESC's running the track motors and slew motor and just let the pump...

Re: Tonka bottom dump conversion

Yup, real fun machine at the price point. Nice your LHS will do that for you. Think if I showed up with my 4200 at the LHS they'd have the deer in headlights look. 4200 is fairly easy to work on...

Re: Tonka bottom dump conversion

Nice conversion! Not sure what type firgelli you have, operated by (RX or esc) but if your on a self centering stick or 3 postion switch with the "R" version (RX) you can grab a camera positioning...

Re: Electrical question

Just wanted to say this post made my day. Just installed a sabertooth dual 25A ESC and was having a motor twitch problem in one track motor. I had left the positive from the pump and slew motor...

Re: Cross-RC UC6 tank hauler

Awesome truck and trailer! follow any of the tank forums? I too had to make a recovery vehicle. Used a Tammy King Hauler and modified a bruder trailer to widen it and have remote ramps. Think...

Re: 4200XL replacement ESC's recommendations?

Thanks for the reply Giants. I'm a little familiar with sabertooth products. Will look into them down the road. Like the idea of the 2X25 and eliminating one of the track ESC's at the start. Is...

Re: 4200XL replacement ESC's recommendations?

Well after gettnig the kiddies to bed got out to the shop to do some trouble shooting. After thinking about the RX I wondered if a servo had burnt up so checked the servo's with a stand by RX. Ch 3...

Re: 4200XL replacement ESC's recommendations?

Got into it a bit and ESC's all still blinking red and no response on any functions. Pump motor, tracks, servo's, lights, all a no go. Guess I could of blown the RX? I'll need some bench time to...

4200XL replacement ESC's recommendations?

Suppose I was pushing it a bit running the 4200 on a hot day with high humidity, got through most a battery and noticed some smoke coming out of the components bay. All 3 ESC's had blinking red...
