Re: 1/16 Bucyrus-Monighan Walking Dragline
Steve. I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but you can get very small cable from any of the overhead garage door people. I got some from a guy here and it was 1/8" dia SS and very flexible.

Re: Steamer
Jason. Great shot! That works out to 10 1/2" for scale and looks just right between the truck and trailer. I have all the brass tubing and now just have to get cutting.
Thanks Rob

Muleskinner. Those kind of models are right up my alley. Most logging equipment is so unique to the company that made them. Your attention to details is amazing. I know first hand how hard that is...

Re: Steamer
Question. Does anyone know the length of the reach on a transfer trailer. I can't find any info on the net and there's not one around here to measure.
Thanks Rob

Re: Steamer
Simple diode circuit. Hope I explain it good enough.
1 just a motor and if you reverse polarity, motor runs both ways.
2 if you add in down stop switch, motor power will be cut at bottom stop....

Brian. Thanks for the comments on the FWD. I actually painted my truck to match one that we did for a customer in 1968 and it was a favourite as soon as I saw it come down the assembly line. That box...

Glad you liked it. I started following him with my FWD. He did a four part blog on them and some of his truck pictures were ones that I drove off the end of the assembly line.
