Re: Menck Skooper scale 1:8 Intermodellbau Dortmund 2014

Wow! Love to see the early machines. While today's engineers refine systems and look for more efficiency, they are mostly just incorporating modern technology into designs that were thought up...

Re: First build ,cat D11

Looks great! Speed is plenty fast - yes, crawlers do their work at a pace much slower than wheeled vehicles and it does seem slow if not used to it. You have much to be proud of. Also, you must...

Re: First build ,cat D11

Good point about the heat-sinking effect you get with vises and pliers holding the parts. I forgot to mention that I switched to paper-binder spring clips to hold things. They don't soak up much...

Re: new trailer with 574 wheeloader

Very nice setup. Have you operated your loader much? How do you like it? Trailer works well with the loader - like the details on it. Good job!

Re: left over build (Cat 825C maybe )

Hey, Steve, looks like you hit another home run! How you got all that stuff under the hood is a magic trick in itself. Decals and glass will top it off. I really like the blade mechanism - just...

Re: how old is everyone feeling old.

Takes a bit longer to loosen up before hitting the gym these days, but I feel about 35. This hobby and others, plus grandkids and work keep me enjoying life at 63.

Re: RC4WD Loader

The videos have a nice sound system, but no mention of it on the specificiations list. I guess this just an oversight on the list???
Steve, I'd like to have the tires available separately, also. ...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

Just checked with the Komatsu Applications handbook and the Cat 777 or Komatsu HD785-7, 100-ton rated trucks are recommended to be used with the Komatsu PC2000 hydraulic shovel. That makes it a 3 or...

Awesome start. Obviously, you have been planning this a while, since the cab is not only assembled but has a killer weathered paint job.

Waiting to see the lift mechanism.
