Re: Rc4wd Excavator questions

Just measured my batt again and really it's more like 135mm or shorter. You may be able to jam a 140mm but I'd be afraid to pinch the line or mess with the fitting with time going in and out with...

Re: Rc4wd Excavator questions

Just a heads up, I couldn't fit those 8400 size batts in my "2.0" excavator. Not sure if they've moved the valve block or just mine is off but anything longer than 145-150mm in length will hit a...

Re: Eagle 4200XL excavator - track motors upgrade kit (updated 26'th April 2016)

Complete bummer Alaska, I had to battle my 4200 as well to get up and running. Sounds like your near the dirt though. Hope you get things settled up and get your tracks dirty soon!

Re: 4200xl how experienced do you need to be?

Yup, they are bigger than stock. Think of going from say a short can 480 to a 540. Also the reduction gears are smoother and you gain a small amount of speed on your tracks.

Re: 4200xl how experienced do you need to be?

Keep us posted as to what you actually receive. A 3 or 4 valve block, lights controlled via TX or switch on excavator, and spring loaded idlers. I was told I was ordering a 1.5 but then was...

Re: 4200xl how experienced do you need to be?

Yea, all that is a little suspect since the version 1.0 had the 3 valve block as well. I just went through the same thing wondering why go from 3 to 4 to back to 3? Tang at eagle machines who makes...

Re: 4200xl how experienced do you need to be?

I just got a 4200XL a couple weeks ago as my first hydraulic r/c. I too have been in the r/c world for 30+ years and found nothing real overwhelming on the 4200XL. This is a great forum for...

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

So the 4200xl is labeled as being built by JD customs as we know. I've done a basic search and found nothing, anyone know of them? i've missed something and maybe they are known fabricators/model...

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

Other than the 4200 I've never had an issue with rc4wd as well. Think the heavy construction stuff is still out of their wheel house though. For all my emails and claims on this it has been very...

Oh yea, glad they paid me back. Definitely not a deal breaker, just emailed them and asked why the total cost wasn't included in initial shipping cost.

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

Nope, mine came from oversea's. Had to deal with DHL as more import tax was owed before delivery. I had to pay $100 out of pocket, luckily RC4WD reimbursed me via paypal. Just another wonderful...

Re: Sound for wheel loader?

Thanks for your replies. I may go the Benedini route as I've used them before, just haven't had to down load sound files to it before.

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

You got it. 3 valve block=3 servo's an no diverting valve, just usual prv.
4 valve block=4 servo's. 3 for booms and bucket and 4th for diverting valve.

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

Version 1.0 has a 3 valve block, supposedly 1.5 has a 4 valve block and the "newest" 1.5's have a improved 3 valve block. This is what I've been told by Tang and RC4WD. Not sure what the...

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

No kidding, though I'm sure the 12 year old that "tests" and boxes them up has no idea what they have in front of them, much less the distributor. I'm still not completely sold on this "new" 3...

Re: RC4WD 4200XL models and nomenclature?

Ok, so heard back from Tang and he said the newest 1.5's do have an improved 3 valve block and not a 4 valve. He also said to make sure the flow isn't too high and stay at stock or a bit lower on...
