Finaly got the lower hydraulic tank made (did do the copper version 3 times and steel one time). This is made exactly to available space, still made as big as possible (more oil= lower temperature)....

I sold it almost right after first show, was going to university a needed the money.
It was a construction company that bought it (in Sweden) and they still own the machine. I don´t think I will...

Wood and plastic model

Found some images today that I thought was gone. First one is a Wooden model of an Akerman excavator H16B. Everything except tubing to hydraulics was made in wood. Scale is 1/10, built to manufactors...

Look in the yellow pages, when I used a lot of styrene (model train modeling) I bought from local dealer, normaly they have some pieces left over that can be realy cheap.

Nothing much to complain about, did fuel up my Colorado (gas) today almost $100!

Diesel is today 189cents/L equal to 7,15$/gallon, and Sweden is not highest in Europe.

I would be very happy to...

Now it´s clear why you had to spend a lot of money on tubing. Very nice piece of work, guess I have to visit you next time in us to get a crash corse in brazing!

Have been working with internal hydraulic tank, couldn´t get it right done so had to start all over, will post later when finished.
But the ROPS was done to satisfaction, here´s pics when sanded....

Thanks, did have a good weekend got the front doors installed. They are possible to open, need this to start the engine. Some magnetic holder will keep doors closed while running....

Thanks, this engine will run with max 3000rpm (has a 1:2 reduction built in on out going axle) and with a bigger muffler (as big as possible) the sound should be as good as possible.

Have meet this man building farm equipment that swedish farmer use to have in 50-60´s. He makes his own wheels, use 2 hammers, 2 hand steel sharer and a mig. All equipment are made to look like hard...

Steve, what I ment was it´s a shame to cover all this beautiful machinery covered up with sheet metal. You have put so much work into it so it has to be seen. Maybee a removable roof?
