I'd go with something between 600 to 1000 wet sand paper, depending how bad the marks are. Make sure the primer is completely dry and wet sand it. I think 2500 would load up to fast. This question...

Good test! Looks like you could use a little taller saddle under the 5th wheels your using. The stock Tamiya's are about as short as they come on the 1:1's. It would get the nose of the trailer up...
