Wow, that wheel looks so much better when milled, guess you have to run the machine without any superstructure on it. when milling in brass, how much do take in each pass?

they are made of normal steel, don´t know quality but not stainless. A couple of mig tacks and then soldered in owen.

Thanks, they are 15x15" and machine weight is about 320lbs as hanging.

Did build a carrier today to transport the D8 out of the house (no, will not be able to run it out, have wooden floor that gets bad). My workshop is located in ground floor but have a 2 step outside...

The freightliner was completely rebuilt/painted when I bought it 5 years ago. The problem is that we got a new legislation on brakes here in 1074, older than that is no problem. There´s no problem...

Those parts are like arts, guess that with a CNC machine , you still have to put in hour of design of the part in CAD program. Best is that it can be reproduced from files if needed. Have not had any...

I was lucky to get digital readout on my milling machine but how funny to have a CNC.
Guess that out of budget for modelling purpose only.

Thanks guys, the weight now is 410lbs on D8 (that´s dry, just oil will add another 30lbs. The 463 is about 230lbs and designed for a load of +220lbs.

The D8 will have (if I have calculated right)...
