thanks! No RC here, just old fashioned levers on the crane itself. There is one motor for all the functions. It all works with clutches and brakes. The boomhoist has a separate motor.

Manitowoc 4100W 1/25

Oh, did you mean the frame?
I glued the Al and brass together, but for strength a 1/4' bolt connects the brass with the center ring, a similar setup like pre-stressed concrete.

The rings are brass and the wires are soldered to this ring directly (inside). the pins are steel with wires soldered to them. I used the torch for that! All the rest is plastic.

That is a great idea, to use flywheels for the swing. It is one of the problems of working in scale. It is very difficult to get the same smooth movements as the real machine.

It is mild steel soldered together, the sheaves are AL.
Was a great project to do in between.
When I once have time :D I am going to make an orange peel clamshell bucket.

The cab is made of 1/8" and 1/16' AL and I used my mill to do the windows.

I bought it more than 15 years ago in Britain @ RS Components. It came in a 500 meter reel, which is a life time supply for me.
