Re: Front drive axle
In the 2nd to last pic, look at the left side of the Globeliner and the left side of the King Hauler, that's approximately the difference. It's wider.
To cut wheels I like to run a nut and bolt...

Re: Extra channels
Are you going to use this to control the entire model or just the tracks? Seems a bit of a hassle just for the tracks, you'll need a laptop and your transmitter.
Looks cool though, a netbook would...

Re: Figure height for drivers?
Well I got the figure yesterday, and he seems to be a pretty good fit fo the seat. But both he and the seat seem tiny in the cab. What do you guys think, does he look alright?...

Re: My F-350 4x4 Dually
Looking real good, nice job on the toolbox and headache rack.
Tire wise, I'd suggest the Tamiya BFG's for a nice scale looking smaller tire. Although, the bigger tires might look better being they...

Re: Some of my collection
The Z scale is really fricking impressive, the minute details of the engines, the rods moving around on the wheels etc, crazy craftsmanship. The one engine I have can either pick up power from the...

My RC queue
I have two builds I really need to finish before I get too far in starting my Volvo.
First is a 1.9 Uni Mog Doka from splicing two Tamiya Mog bodies together. There's a slight dip in the roof where...

Re: All About LED's
I'll be making V2 here at some point. I sold that body (HPI Bronco) in favor of a ProLine Bronco with full hard top.
I have an MFC02 for it, so it'll get the works.
I think I'll try X-Acto-scribing...

Re: All About LED's
I've found PVC caps to work well for buckets/enclosures for some applications, 1/2" I think, the smallest size.
I generally use hot glue or Shoe Goo. A great way to apply Shoe Goo is, not sure what...

Re: Help with a bandsaw
Yeah, I like that. I'd rather get one in store and put together something like you got there.
I wonder if the links to Home Depot have typos on the amp ratings, should be 1.5 instead of 15? I looked...

Re: Figure height for drivers?
I just ordered a 4.5"ish figure off Ebay, hopefully he sizes about right. I'll have to end up cutting him as his knees don't bend. His elbows don't either, so hopefully his hands/arms are positioned...

Re: Help with a bandsaw
Interesting thought with the wood, I happen to have some pieces of 2X8 I may try that.
I was at Home Depot the other day and ceiling fan "dimmers" were only rated at 1.5 amps. I had to look to see...
